Free parking is available for all my private patients. On arrival at reception, you can wait at the private waiting room where free tea or coffee is provided. After you complete a visual field test, dilating drops may be put into your eyes. The drops allow a comprehensive eye examination but they do blur the vision for 3-4 hours. I will call you to the eye examination room where a detailed ophthalmic and medical history is taken. This will highlight your current eye problems and the nature of any previous eye problems or treatments you had. It will also include any other medical problems you have. To tailor your needs to your requirements, a social history is taken to establish your visual needs relating to your career or hobbies. A detailed eye examination is then completed and further investigations using equipment in the eye room are completed. I will then provide you with a provisional diagnosis and a treatment plan. A letter detailing the findings and outcome of the consultation will be written to your GP and Optometrist and copied to yourself too.
