Expert Opinion In Ophthalmology From A CUBS Certified Expert Witness & Full Member of the Expert Witness Institute (MEWI)

Mr Jonathan Park is a Consultant Ophthalmologist (Ophthalmic Surgeon) with over 10 years of clinical experience as a Consultant with both NHS and private practice who provides medico-legal expert witness reports. He is currently in full-time clinical practice (NHS and private) as a Consultant and has been a Consultant since 2015.  He is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council, a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is a member of the British and Eire Association of Vitreoretinal Surgeons (BEAVRS) and EuRetina. He is also a member of the Royal College Of Ophthalmologists’ scientific panel, the British Ophthalmological Surveillance Unit (BOSU). 

Mr Park is a full member of the Expert Witness Institute (MEWI) and holds the Expert Witness Certificate from Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS).  He maintains medico-legal CPD with attendance at courses and conference.

He can be instructed by Claimants and Defendants in clinical negligence (ophthalmology) and personal injury (non-surgical ocular trauma) cases. Mr Park can provide an expert opinion on a wide range of ophthalmology cases, and given his sub-speciality training in particular this includes medical retina (macula degeneration and diabetic eye disease), surgical retina (vitreo-retinal surgery including retinal detachment, epi-retinal membrane, macular hole, floaters), cataract surgery and ocular trauma (including whiplash).
